Pearl River Athletics Celebrating Six All-Americans across Wildcat Baseball and Softball teams
Fresh off of their matching World Series titles, the Pearl River Community College Baseball and Softball teams are celebrating six of their athletes earning NJCAA Division II All-American status!
We first want to wish congratulations to a pair of Lady Wildcats as Ana-Grace Garcia and Shania Fondren have been named First Team All-Americans!
While in the circle, Ana-Grace Garcia was a hitter’s worst nightmare with 23 wins, 187 strikeouts and a 2.14 era. On the others side of the plate, pitchers were scared to throw to freshman Shania Fondren as she broke both Pearl River’s homerun record with 27 bombs and runs batted in with 78.
Over to the baseball diamond, four Wildcats earned All-American status! Drew Harrison, Coy Clements and Jackson Estes have been named to the First Team, and Picayune’s Landon Watts earned Second Team!
Right Handed pitcher Drew Harrison led the team with 11 wins and 96 strikeouts. He also recently announced his commitment to the University of Southern Mississippi
Coy Clements was a force at the plate and behind the plate as the starting catcher. He broke Pearl River’s single season homerun record with 24 long balls. He also collected 71 RBI’s with 73 total hits.
Outfielder Jackson Estes is fresh off one of the best weeks of his career with three home runs in the World Series tournament alone. He also leads the team with .423 batting average with 82 hits and 75 RBI’s.
Last but certainly not least, right-handed pitcher Landon Watts was a captain of the ball club leading the way with a 2.83 ERA during his 23 appearances.
Congratulations to all six of these Wildcat All-Americans!
