Pavilion project across from Centennial Plaza underway on Harrison County beach

The Department of Marine Resources is working on a project to build a pier and pavilion across from Centennial Plaza.

The project, funded by GOMESA, is part of a project that replaced one of the concrete culverts that was caving in with an outfall canal.

That project began in February 2020 and has since been completed.

In addition, a handicap-accessible pavilion was begun in January of this year and is expected to be finished by March 2025.

The project has a total cost of $2.5 million when it is complete.
