Pathways2Possibilities career expo inspiring local eighth graders

Eighth graders across the Coast had the opportunity to view different career options thanks to Pathways2Possibilities.

It’s taking place today and tomorrow at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center. Students are introduced to a multitude of different career pathways so they can start thinking about what they want to do in the future.

Each pathway is led by a pathfinder who has coordinated with the pathway members to create hands on activities that are intended to inspire students. Gulfport Central Middle School teacher Jonathan Moyers said, “Coming to P2P for these kids, it really provides them a direction for careers later in life. Some things they may have not even thought about doing, whether it’s electrical linemen or going into the hospitality industry, just gives them a lot to think about for the future.”

This is the eighth year local schools have had the chance to bring their students to Pathways2Possibilities in Biloxi.
