Pass Christian’s Samuel King wins National Championship in shot put!

We’re starting off the night with some major news all the way from Virginia Beach. A new National Champion calls Pass Christian home!

This weekend, eighth grade shot put thrower Samuel King traveled all the way to Virginia Beach, Virginia to compete in the prestigious Adidas Track National Competition. During the Pass Christian student’s final throwing attempt he threw his personal best and the meets best, claiming the National Championship title for Boys Middle School shot put.

Just last month, King also broke the state and school records for both shot put and discus. Congratulations Sammy, and what an exciting future you have in the world of track and field!
