Pass Christian School Board to soon vote on Narcan use on campuses

The Pass Christian School Board held a meeting this afternoon to discuss a number of topics.

One of the main topics at the board meeting was to discuss the possible use of Narcan across the school district. The board will vote next month on whether to allow Narcan to be readily available to school officials in case of a student overdosing on drugs. Assistant Superintendent Michael Lindsey said, “It kind of originated with our first responders…with our SROs and nurses, and it just came up as a lifesaving technique that you know one of the things that you hope you never have to use, but to have available in case of an emergency and you can possibly save somebody’s life.”

The board will vote during the school board meeting in February.
