Pass Christian Public Library Hosts Acting Workshop for High School Students
The Pass Christian Public Library is holding an action film workshop this week for high school students.
Students start out in the beginning of the week brainstorming movie ideas. The teens then write, shoot and edit their movies. This is the third year the library has held this workshop.
Richard Ward, the workshop instructor, said, “We all consume media to put it in an academic term, and so to better know what it is you’re watching, how it was put together, hardly anyone thinks about the editing or any of that. So, at least to inform people so they can be better viewers and then obviously for people who are really interested in it, it gives them a little bit more of an idea whether they’re interested or not.”
The teens also get to take home a copy of their film on DVD when the week is over.
