Pass Christian High School celebrates National School Breakfast Week
This week is National School Breakfast Week and Pass Christian High School has been celebrating all week long.
National School Breakfast Week celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success.
This special observance takes place the first full week of March and celebrates the National School Breakfast program and the way it gives kids a great start every day.
All week the kids have enjoyed different breakfast meals and engaging activities to make eating breakfast run. Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Jennifer Frye said, “We have had contest, a coloring contest and an essay contest. We have different prize boxes. We have done breakfast riddles. We had a special breakfast where they built their own waffle or parfait. So, lots of different things to get them encouraged to eat a healthy breakfast and different things they can do and just to incorporate some fun into healthy breakfast choices. So, that hopefully that will stick with them and encourage them to eat breakfast.”
The theme for National School Breakfast Week is ‘Dig into School Breakfast.’
