Pass Christian High forms Hope Squad for school year

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- Pass Christian High School has launched a Hope Squad for the current school year.

A Hope Squad is a program designed to tackle mental health and suicide prevention in students.

The movement comes after the school community faced the loss of two students to suicide.

Pass High is taking steps to change the narrative around student mental health.

Hope Squad helps the school channel the energy into prevention, empathy, and hope.

At the school, Hope Squad has a bulletin board full of encouraging messages and resources.

A monthly newsletter is also published, providing monthly themes of positivity.
