Pass Christian Fire Department rescues alligator found in backyard pool

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)-The Pass Christian Fire Department helped rescue an alligator from a pool on Saturday.

Residents at the home found the alligator close to the shallow end.

The fire team says with a little persuasion, they were able to move the visitor to a more appropriate location.

The team also joked that this is a new type of call and they are still waiting for a call about aliens.

The department reminds residents that if they spot wildlife where it doesn’t belong, call the proper authorities and keep a safe distance.
