Pascagoula Senior Center holding handmade pottery course

The Pascagoula Senior Center is hosting a six-part series on handmade pottery.

Over the course of the series, participants will gain knowledge and skills in pottery-making. From shaping the clay to preparing it for firing, the volunteer instructors will provide step-by-step guidance, ensuring a rewarding learning experience.

After completing the classes, participants will have the opportunity to visit the senior center and use their supplies to create their own clay pieces. Instructor Nancy Price said, “A lot of people think that ‘I can’t do that, I’m not artistic.’ Well, I’m not either, but we know a lot of tricks and guidelines so you can make something beautiful.”

Anyone interested can register for classes by calling 228-769-8329. They are open to Pascagoula residents for a $50 fee.

People from surrounding areas will have to pay the $50 fee plus a small additional charge.
