Pascagoula Seeking Volunteers for Coastal Cleanup on Oct. 18th

The City of Pascagoula is seeking volunteers for the 26th Annual Mississippi Coastal Cleanup. There will be many opportunities to volunteer throughout town, including the following sites:

-Lighthouse Park (includes Highway 90 causeway and lower east Pascagoula River Islands)
-Point Park (includes west beachfront)
-Beach Park (includes east beachfront)
-I.G. Levy Park

"We hope to have many people come out and help beautify Pascagoula," said Outdoor Recreation Specialist, Kristi Ducote. "Participating in projects like this are a great way to come together and show how much we care about our community."

Coastal Cleanup volunteers will be given vouchers for a free lunch provided by The Shed BBQ and Blues Joint as well as other prizes.

Coastal Cleanup is presented by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, and will take place from 8 – 11 a.m. on October 18th.
