Pascagoula School Bus Crashes into New York Pizza Building

A bus carrying students from Pascagoula High School’s band program collided with a southbound vehicle, causing the bus to crash into the New York Pizza building.

The driver and four students sustained minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.  Although customers were seated in the booth in the area of impact, no one inside the building was injured.

The restaurant closed for the weekend but reopened its drive-thru on Monday. While the building’s exterior has been patched up, crews continue to work on repairing the interior.

New York Pizza expects to be fully operational on Tuesday.
