Pascagoula Run’s Paddle Race

75 kayakers, canoeists, and paddle boarders dipped their paddles into the Pascagoula River Saturday morning and engaged in a friendly paddle race.

The Pascagoula run brings together all river race enthusiasts for a 12 and half mile race beginning at little river marina in moss point and ending at the Lighthouse Park in Pascagoula… All of this to bring people out on the water to enjoy and celebrate a little piece of earth day.

“Kristi Ducote, Outdor Recreation Specialist: Basically, we just want to get people out, get them exposed to, for one our Pascagoula River blue way, which is a designated water trail, with multiple points of interest along the way.”

First second and third place winners were recognized and were awarded with different boat classifications and a cedar log trophy for the winners who completed the race with the shortest amount of time.
