Pascagoula River Audubon holding contest to name Owlets

The Pascagoula River Audubon Center needs your help deciding the names of their two baby great horned owls.

For the third year in a row, they’ve asked for the public’s help in naming owls born at their facility. The first year they had the contest they had three chicks and the names selected were Winkin’, Blinkin, and Nod.

Last year there were two chicks and the winning names were Hoot and Howl.

This year, they have over 25 name submissions.

Visit Pascagoula River Audubon Center’s Facebook Page to cast your vote. They’ll announce the names tomorrow on Facebook.

If you want to see the owlets in person, they’ll be nesting for about two more weeks.
