Pascagoula Relief Team Leaves for Louisiana

A team from Pascagoula pulled out this morning to deliver supplies to flood victims in Louisiana.
Police and fire officials left alongside city personnel with three trucks of water, cleaning supplies and much more. Fifteen total people from Pascagoula started their drive to Livingston around 8:30 this morning.
The city began their collection one week ago and officials grin ear to ear over the community’s response in such a short amount of time. Lieutenant Doug Adams with Pascagoula PD said, “Overwhelming, not just the City of Pascagoula, but people all around the county, new people that have only lived here a couple years that hadn’t really been through the storm or flood like this. It’s been overwhelming the support we’ve received and of course, we couldn’t have done it without the support of the media and Facebook, social media, but y’all especially.”
Statistics show more than 60,000 homes were damaged and 13 people killed in this historic flood.
