Pascagoula Public Library to close April 1st for renovations

The Pascagoula Public Library is getting ready for a huge renovation and will be closed on April 1st until further notice.

The building is nearly 40 years old – opening in October of 1986 – and it’s starting to show its age.

The skylight leaks, the elevator needs maintenance, and the HVAC system does not work.

On top of fixing these issues, the library will also receive new carpet, paint, floor tiles, and some changes to make the building more ADA-compliant.

No fines will be accrued for Pascagoula Library patrons, but books can be dropped off at any Jackson-George Regional Library.
