Pascagoula police scam relating to application approval fee

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pascagoula Police Department is alerting residents to scams going around the area.

A scammer is using public information about an active rezoning application to create an authentic looking email, requesting payment of an approval fee.

This email contains details relating to the application. The city and police warning this email address ends in ‘usa.com.’ Official city emails will always end with ‘@cityofpascagoula.com.’
