Pascagoula Panthers recognized for state championship victory

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Pascagoula honored the Pascagoula High School boys basketball team for their Class 6A state championship.

A proclamation and individual certificates of achievement were presented for each student athlete.

Mayor Jay Willis highlighted the 56-54 win over Terry High School, saying their performance showed perseverance, teamwork, and determination.

Mayor Willis also acknowledged this is the first state championship for the team and the first won by a basketball program in Jackson County.
