Pascagoula man pleaded guilty to 2 counts armed robbery, burglary of a dwelling, and felony fleeing

Ross

On February 21, 2024, Jonathan Lee Ross, 34 years old, of Pascagoula, pled guilty and was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Keith Miller as a habitual offender.

Ross first burglarized a home in Pascagoula. A little over a week later, he robbed two clerks at the Dollar General in Ocean Springs.

The quick-thinking clerks placed GPS trackers in the money packs stolen by Ross, which trackers enabled law enforcement to locate Ross. Ross led Ocean Springs and Gautier Police on a high-speed chase through Gautier, Pascagoula, and Moss Point when he crashed his vehicle and was subsequently arrested.

Ross pled guilty to two counts of Armed Robbery, one count of Felony Fleeing, and one count of Burglary for a Dwelling.

For his crimes, Ross was sentenced to a total of 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections with 20 to serve, day for day, without the possibility of parole or early release.
