A Pascagoula man is in jail, charged in connection with a home burglary, escape and directing a juvenile to commit a crime.
19-year-old Arnell Finklea of Pascagoula is charged with residential burglary, felony escape, petit larceny and directing a juvenile to commit burglary. He was taken to the Jackson County jail and is being held on $33,000 in bonds. He was not granted bond on the directing a juvenile charge.
Police were called to Nathan Hale Avenue about 3:30 p.m. Monday about two suspicious people running from a home — one of whom was wearing a mask. Police searched the area and found the suspects — Finklea and a minor — on nearby Boston Avenue.
Investigators discovered the suspects entered the home through a window.
After being put into a police car following his arrest, Finklea allegedly damaged the patrol car and escaped while still handcuffed. He later turned himself in.
The minor is not being named because of his age.
