Pascagoula lifts boil water notice in final area

Pascagoula has lifted the boil water notice in the Southeast quadrant of the city today.

That means all areas of the city are now clear.

The city said in a press release that the test results from the Southeast quadrant samples have returned and the boil water notice is now lifted.

The entire city was under a boil water notice starting Monday, when water pressure dropped. The city found the source of the leak in the Southeast quadrant on Wednesday, a broken main, and made repairs.

A sample was taken on Thursday and the results came back today.

This is the second time in six months the city had to extend a city-wide boil water notice. The first one was in December 2022.
