Pascagoula Hosts 37th Zonta Fest Saturday
The art festival will feature vendors along Delmas Avenue and adjoining streets selling food, crafts, plants, prints, and other art. Arts on the Avenue is a city run galley participating in the event. Local artists sell work at Arts on the Avenue and on Saturday, some of those artists will be hosting live art demonstrations.
Karen Joplin, Manager of Arts on the Avenue, says, “We will have Lindy Temple, who uses vintage buttons to make rings, hairpins, things like that. She will have the buttons with her. She’ll have the wire with her. She’ll be in the process of making them, and you can come by and pick out your button, pick out whether you want sterling silver or gold-filled, have your finger sized, and she’ll make you a ring right there.”
Outside, another artist will be creating hand-hammered copper jewelry for interested customers. The city promises the event to be a fun, interactive festival with something for everyone.
