The Pascagoula Gautier School District has implemented a mask mandate as students and staff prepare to start a new school year beginning August 2nd.
According to an update from Superintendent Dr. Wayne Rodolfich, this mandate is being implemented as cases continues to rise in Mississippi.
Cleaning and purification systems continue to remain in place at schools and a vaccination drive for employees is now scheduled on the second from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pascagoula High School.
The mask requirement will be revisited at the September 13th school board meeting when a COVID-19 update will be presented to the school board.
