Pascagoula-Gautier School District COVID-19 numbers

The Pascagoula-Gautier School District has been notified that a total of 58 students have tested positive for COVID-19 this week from the following schools: Pascagoula High, Gautier High, Gautier Middle, Eastlawn Elementary, Arlington Elementary, Colmer Middle, Martin Bluff Elementary, Singing River Academy, Cherokee Elementary; Jackson Elementary, Trent Lott Academy, Lake Elementary and College Park Elementary.

Of the 58 students, 24 students tested positive for COVID before school began on Aug. 5, have already been quarantined and have not been in attendance.

Ten licensed employees from Martin Bluff Elementary, Lake Elementary, Gautier Elementary, Pascagoula High, Gautier Middle, the Opportunity Center and Singing River Academy have also tested positive, as well as 12 non-licensed employees from College Park Elementary, Jackson County Exceptional School, the Opportunity Center and district-wide.

In accordance with Miss. Department of Health guidelines, tracing of close contact with these individuals has been done, and 55 close contacts have been notified.
