Pascagoula football coach Lewis Sims officially announces his retirement
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV) — Pascagoula head coach Lewis Sims announced his retirement from coaching and teaching on Monday, officially turning in his resignation and informing the team of his decision.
Sims has spent the past 15 years with the Panthers, putting together a storied career. He leaves as the program’s all-time winningest coach, with a 103-77 overall record. He’s also helped guide many student-athletes to the next level.
Prior to his time at Pascagoula, Sims coached at his alma mater of Moss Point for three seasons.
Sims will finish out this semester before enjoying his retirement.
