Pascagoula Family Camp Out Scheduled for March 21st

Beach Park will be transformed into a camper’s paradise, as Pascagoula Parks & Recreation hosts its family camp out from 12 p.m. March 21st – 11 a.m. March 22nd!

Camp out participants may set up their tents starting at noon on the 21st. Activities will include sand castle building, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and a campfire complete with stories and s’mores! Attendees will also enjoy an outdoor showing of "The Nut Job," and have a chance to win prizes. Everyone is invited to bring their bikes, skates, or walking shoes for a Sunday morning stroll down Beach Boulevard. Tents must be broken down by 11 a.m. Sunday morning.

Admission is $5 per person, and children ages 2 and under are free. The admission price includes all activities, as well as dinner and breakfast. Those interested are encouraged to pre-register by visiting the Recreation Center located at 2935 Pascagoula Street. On-site registration is available. "Camping is a great way to spend time with your family and reconnect with nature," said Outdoor Recreation Specialist, Kristi Ducote. "This is also a great way to introduce children to nature and a variety of outdoor activities. We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the fun!"
