Pascagoula City Councilman John F. ‘Johnny’ Walker dies

The City of Pascagoula announced the passing of City Councilman John F. “Johnny” Walker.

Councilman Walker passed away on February 21st, 2025.

Councilman Walker served on the Pascagoula City Council since 2021. In a statement, the city said, “Johnny’s impact extended beyond his role as a public servant—he was a dedicated leader and devoted private citizen whose commitment to Pascagoula was unwavering. His leadership and service will be greatly missed.”

Walker is survived by his wife, Maria; his children, Kelsey, Peyton, and Jase; his grandchildren, Nathan, Taylor, Blake, and Blythe.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27th, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by military funeral honors and a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
