Pascagoula Beach Pier set to reopen Friday

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- Pascagoula residents and fishing fans have something to look forward to this weekend.

The beach pier is set to reopen Friday following the completion of phase one improvements.

The upgrades include new ADA-complaint handrails, flow-through decking, benches, solar deck lighting, green fish lights, and a new fish cleaning station.

The improvements are designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and the overall visitor experience.

Additional lighting upgrades are still expected to be installed next month.
