Parrot Party 5K

The Gulf Coast showed up in full force tonight at the Relay for Life Parrot Party 5K in Gulfport.
Survivors, supporters, friends and family are at Jones Park tonight for the after party, where booths are set up under the Barksdale Pavilion and the world’s premiere Jimmy Buffet cover band, the Landsharks, are keeping things going with some of the Coast’s signature sounds. “Scuba” Steve Johnson, founder of Scuba Steve Shirt Co., said, “It’s been incredible all the support and the fighters and the survivors and it’s good to have everyone come together for an awesome cause. It’s inspiring to see people that have been through it all and people that are going through it, you know, you kinda cheer them along. It’s just incredible to have that camaraderie together and to fight together.”
The after party began immediately after the 5K and ends at 10 p.m.
