Parker Creek dredging work begins in Biloxi
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)-Dredging at Parker Creek in Biloxi is underway and expected to last around six months.
Workers will be on the water dredging the creek Monday through Friday until the over 4,000-foot project is complete.
The total cost is just over $200,000.
John Majure with the City of Biloxi says the dredge work not only improves the drainage of the waterway, but also clears boat access to the area.
Parker Creek will remain open throughout the project as will the boat ramp. The city asks that residents use caution when on the water in the area.
