Parade of Cars
Today the Armed Forces Retirement Home held its annual Parade of Cars for Cruisin’ the Coast. Some of the residents got an extra special treat; they got to ride along in a few of the Cruisin’ cars.
What made today’s event a little different than other parades is that the cars took their time going around the circle to make sure and say hi to all those watching. Those who attended said they truly enjoy this event each year and are thankful for the group that puts it all together. Resident Joseph Kelly said, “These were the cars that we all knew, all the ’57 Chevys, the ’54 Chevys and all those beautiful vehicles. Those were our cars back in those days.”
