Panther Classic Basketball Tournament

The Pascagoula High School basketball team hosted the tenth annual Panther Classic on Saturday.

The tournament featured six boys games and one girls game with 13 different high schools represented. Schools from Hattiesburg and from all around the Coast traveled to play in the tournament.

Pascagoula Head Coach Lorenzo Wright holds the tournament every year to give the teams the opportunity to play other schools they might not be able to see until the playoffs come around. “We try to bring in teams from out of the area that normally would match-up in the state playoffs so we use that as an incentive to try and bring teams in.”

Coach Wright and the Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday at D’Iberville High School.
