Packing Party Tomorrow for Flood Victims

What’s better than having a party and helping those in need at the same time?
The Mississippi and Greater Gulf Coast Apartment Association is teaming up with the Hatching Hope Organization to collect items for flood victims in Louisiana.
The groups will be distributing the donated items to families of flooded apartment communities.
There will be a packing party to fill delivery bags with donations. It is set for Wednesday at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jefferson Davis campus starting at 11:30 a.m. Community Manager at Mariners Village Apartments Tracy Hurt said, “After Katrina we all knew how it felt and so we want to give back and we live in a very giving state, a very giving community. Mississippians always step up and really help in a time of need. I would ask that my friends, family, people that don’t know me, anybody that wants to come out and help us tomorrow.”
If you can’t make the packing party, but still want to help just drop your donations at the Mariners Village Apartment complex in Long Beach or the Oceanaire Apartments in Biloxi.
