Oyster season begins in Mississippi

Oyster season in Mississippi waters officially kicked off this morning.

St. Joe Reefs, Waveland reefs, and Henderson Point reefs are all areas that are approved. Oyster season in these specified waters will be limited to a max of ten harvest days.

The Department of Marine Resources will also have check stations at the Pass Christian Harbor and Bayou Caddy.
