Overview of achievements at Harrison County State of County Address
The Harrison County State of Address by the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce took place this morning at IP Casino in Biloxi.
The State of the County Address provided attendees with an overview of the county’s achievements, challenges, and future plans.
Marlin Ladner, president of the Harrison County Board of Supervisors, was the keynote speaker of the event.
Some topics discussed included recreational projects, economic growth, public safety, and even progress of the new Buc-ee’s coming soon. “The development of Buc-ee’s, which I think is a tremendous anchor to our county, I indicated it is about $61 million of out-of-state investment and 200 plus jobs. The county has invested through bond money to redo the bridge that was critical to locate Buc-ee’s in that particular location, the bridge over the interstate.”
This was an important platform for community members.
