Overnight storm causes damage to homes in Jackson County
The South Pointe Community of Jackson County is coming together after the overnight storms left several houses damaged.
Wind gusts of up to 83 miles per hour sent shingles flying off of rooftops and breaking the windows of a nearby home. Residents have spent the day cleaning up debris.
Shane Brauer, a homeowner in the South Pointe community, shares his thoughts on what transpired during the storm. “We saw about 12:30 to 12:50 last night that storm system moved through the area and around 12:45 to 12:50 that really picked up and it what looks like now, is that there was a water spout or tornado that came through the area and destroyed several fences and rooftops.”
