Over 1,700 Attend Shuckers’ Inaugural Job Fair

Over 1,700 job seekers of all ages attended Saturday’s inaugural job fair at the Donal Snyder Community Center in Biloxi. Job interviews for seasonal, game day positions began at 9:30 a.m. and concluded just before 4 p.m.

Job seekers that turned in applications, but were not interviewed on Saturday will be contacted and interviewed over the phone or in person.

“We expected a good turnout, but we were stunned by the amount of people that attended today’s job fair,” stated Shuckers’ General Manager Buck Rogers. “We really appreciate the patience and understanding of the people that came out. Ultimately, we are looking to outfit the best staff possible for the people of Biloxi,” Rogers continued.

The Biloxi Shuckers are the Double-A Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and a member of the Southern League. The Shuckers open their inaugural season on Thursday, April 9 at Pensacola.
