Outsiderz Jeep Club begins holiday tradition with inaugural Christmas parade

Outsiderz Jeep Club had its inaugural Christmas parade this weekend at Necos Family Market in Pass Christian.

The event was initially planned for last year, but rain cancelled it. Saturday’s weather allowed the parade to roll.

There were all sorts of jeeps and cars lined up all the way to the back of the market.

Parade participants were encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift for the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Necos Family Market is a popular spot during the Mardi Gras season, but they are now thinking of adding another Christmas parade moving forward. Event coordinator Anthony Ford said, “It’s a start for Mardi Gras. It’s a start for Christmas. Just to give the people something to do. Get everybody in the Christmas spirit. Give the kids something to do. Throw some throws, some toys. Give back to the community.”

Event coordinators say they want to make this parade a tradition and would like to see it grow every year.
