Outpost Program introduces new businesses in Jackson County
The Outpost Program in Jackson County introduced four new businesses into its organization.
The program was made by the National Heritage Area that recognizes businesses that are environmental staples in the community.
The four businesses initiated into the program are
- The Birdhouse, which is a nature-rental home in Ocean Springs.
- Food, Booze, and Hiccups is an outdoor catering company with a variety of features.
- Pascagoula River Audubon Center is a large property with multiple outdoor programs.
- Presley’s Outing is a large camping ground with many outdoor activities to choose from.
Jackson County Outdoor Recreation Specialist Barbara Medlock said, “I was excited to learn about each one of them. Each one is so different and offers things that you know is not offered anywhere else in Jackson County. They are jewels. They are Jackson County jewels; wonderful people and they practice what they preach.”
