Out-of-state police officer accused of kidnapping in Harrison County arrested at Disney

Orange County, Fla. (WXXV)- We are learning more about that Prichard officer arrested for kidnapping charges in Harrison County.

David Cunningham had an appearance in court.

Harrison County issued an arrested warrant after Cunningham allegedly arrested a 21-year-old at a house party and drove off with them.

Cunningham had no enforcement power to make an arrest as he was not in his jurisdiction.

According to one media outlet out of Mobile, Cunningham’s next stop was Epcot at Walt Disney World.

Orange County, Florida Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals made the arrest at a Disney resort.

Previously, Cunningham had resigned from the Mobile Police Department in February of this year before landing as an officer with the Prichard Police Department.
