Osher Lifelong Learning Institute presents housing options for seniors

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute held a presentation on downsizing for seniors at the USM Gulf Park campus.

This seminar looked at housing options for seniors. A panel discussed the many options available to seniors on the Coast, including affordable housing, income-based housing, independent living senior housing, assisted living, memory care living, and skilled nursing home.

The presentation allowed guests to outweigh the pros and cons of each living facility. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Director Paula Mathis said, “It is important for older adults to know what options are available to them in Mississippi and across the coastal Mississippi and that’s what this panel discussion is about today learning more about the opportunities available.”
