Order Gives BP 30 Days to Pay Settlements

An order issued today by a U.S District Judge gives BP 30 days to pay out its settlements from the 2010 oil spill. The company will begin paying up to 1 billion dollars in settlements to compensate local governments across the Gulf Coast for lost tax revenue and other economic damages blamed on the company’s 2010 oil spill.
