Operation Christmas Child collects gifts for children

There are two weeks left until millions of boxes are shipped across the world for children to open on Christmas.

Operation Christmas child has been sending Christmas gifts to impoverished children across the world for 30 years now.

Nearly 280 million children will receive a toy, hygiene products, and hear the gospel.

Last year, Harrison county was able to pack 13,000 boxes and they’re hoping for even more this year.

Anyone and everyone can pack a box  and bring a smile to a child’s face.

“It’s not about any denomination, it’s an interdenominational organization,” said Doug Bradford, the gulf coast area team coordinator for Operation Christmas Child,  “It’s about showing a child the tangible love of God through these little boxes and how it can change a life. And what is does… is amazing.”

The last day to drop off boxes is November 20th. You can call your local church to see if they are participating. You can also search for participating places here.
