Opening Day for the ninth annual Hancock County Fair

It’s opening day for the Hancock County Fair in the Kiln.

Bring the entire family out for the ninth annual Hancock County Fair as opening day kicked off.

The fair came to life with live music, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, a barn full of farm animals, rodeos, carnival rides, and much more.

The 2022 fair schedule highlights a high school rodeo on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and a junior high rodeo Saturday morning at 9. Hancock County Community Committee President Paul Harris said, “If you bring your kids and they enjoy it, make memories for them when they grow up, they will bring their kids back to the fair and create memories from then on. This barn stays steady the whole night with adults, kids, people that’ve never seen animals and it’s a time enjoyed by all.”

The last day to enjoy the fair is this Saturday. Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.
