O’Neal’s Takes A.L.S. Ice Bucket Challenge to Next Level

O’Neal’s, a local po-boy shop in Gulfport, took the A.L.S. Ice Bucket Challenge to the next level, trying to break the world record for amount of buckets poured on multiple people at one time.

Friends and employees of O’Neal’s took on the challenge, each getting doused in ice water ten times for autism awareness. Organizer, Keaton Terrell, pledged to match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 in donations to the cause.

Terrell says, “We wanted to go a little above and beyond this idea come about 10:34 p.m. Saturday night. I got to organized quickly and decided anything I do in life is gonna’ be bigger and better than anybody else, so I figured 10 buckets a piece, at 10 people, 100 buckets, and it turned out good.”

Home Depot donated the buckets and ladders for the challenge. If you’d like to donate to autism awareness, Terrell has an account set up at Edward Jones, or you can drop donations off at O’Neal’s in Gulfport.
