One woman dead after Harrison County car crash

A Saucier woman is dead after a crash that occurred on Highway 67 at the intersection of East Wortham Road just after 5:30 p.m.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, 52-year-old Jennifer Williams was driving a Kia Soul traveled across Highway 67 southbound lanes into a turning bay and was attempting to cross the northbound lanes to get to East Wortham.
A 2001 Ford F-150 traveling north on MS67 crashed into the passenger side of the Kia. The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead on the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. According to the Harrison County Coroner’s Office, Williams died of blunt force trauma.
The driver and passenger inside the Ford were both wearing seatbelts and were transported to Garden Park Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
