One week out from Municipal General Elections
We are exactly one week away from Municipal General Elections in South Mississippi.
While many races were effectively decided in the primary elections in our region, a few major races remain, including the highly-contested race for Gulfport mayor between Hugh Keating and Sonya Williams Barnes and a rematch in Gautier between Incumbent Mayor Casey Vaughan and former Mayor Phil Torgusen.
When it comes to voting reminders, remember mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by June 3rd in order for them to count and municipal clerks offices will be open this coming Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon for last minute in person voting.
On Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the region and the state.
