One person in custody after high-speed chase in Jackson County
Ocean Springs Police Chief Steve Dye says one person is in custody after a pursuit on Highway 90 in Jackson County.
The pursuit began at the intersection of Highway 90 and Park Road when a vehicle reported as stolen from Texas was spotted.
Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but eventually lead to a chase for the suspect which result in a head-on collision between the suspect and the officer’s vehicle.
The officer in the collision has no reported injuries.
The suspect was then taken into custody with charges still pending.
