One man injured in accidental shooting in Gulfport

One man is hospitalized after an afternoon shooting in Gulfport.

Police responded to a call of shots fired off 28^th Street at the Regency Way Apartment Complex around 1:30 this afternoon.

The male victim suffered a gunshot wound to his arm and was transported to Memorial Hospital.

Gulfport Police Sergeant James Griffin confirms the shooting to be accidental.
