One Killed in Officer Involved Shooting in Jackson County

One man is dead after an officer involved shooting overnight in the St. Martin community.
The mother of the victim tells News 25 it was her son, 23-year-old Christian Bowman of Biloxi, who was killed in the gunfire. Details are limited right now, but Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell says the incident happened just after 1 a.m. at the Ramada Inn north of I-10 on Washington Avenue.
Right now, authorities are not releasing any other information. However, a hotel employee tells News 25 the shooting happened inside one of the units.
